upgraded brakes

can any recommend an upgraded braking system? preferably slotted and cross drill rotors.

my brakes started squeaking, all of a sudden, and my truck only has 4,000 miles on it

Re: upgraded brakes

Squeaking already??? Hmmm I find that hard to believe your brakes are gone already. Have you recently travelled in gravel? You could have some loose stones within the braking system, Go wash your tire area well. Im gunna bet the squeak goes away. This is what happened to me

Re: upgraded brakes

i actually got my rims detailed yesterday, so it might be from that, but these pads make my rims look like shit after like 3 days, and i dont ride the brakes at all.

im hoping that after a brake upgrade, they'll improve alot more than just my breaking power.

Re: upgraded brakes

My brakes do that from time to time, but it's because I travel some dirty back roads and have a long gravel driveway, so I figure there's some contamination there.

Re: upgraded brakes

whats up with the CTS-V rear brake pads? im seeing that everywhere. why are they the most common upgrade to rear brakes on the srt truck?

are they not fitting right? are these just that much better?

Re: upgraded brakes

would you recommend R1Concepts for rotors? they have pads as well, but if many people agree with CTS-V rears, then ill go with those

Re: upgraded brakes

R-1 is a great set-up but if you can wait for another two months, StopTech is making a "Big break kit" that will blow everyone else away, I am sure.

Re: upgraded brakes

i dunno about a whole new setup. just rotors for me. its funny how they use Hawk Pads, and company that big on braking should make their own pads
