V6 supercharger

Has anyone on here put in RIPPS supercharger for the v6 and if so how do you like it? Ik it'd be better to just upgrade my whole car but I have my jeep till I graduate college so 4 more years and have no other options.

Re: V6 supercharger

I installed the Ripp Stage II on my 09 JK a couple of years ago and I love it. The power increase is amazing! I also added the Long Tube Headers and it sounds mean. I did it myself with a couple of friends, the step by step manual is easy to follow.

Re: V6 supercharger

go to the WK2 forum and look into the performance section....there's a lot of discussion about this ..

I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee 3.6L and I have the RIPP Supercharger installed.

Overall I am very happy with the results....It's MUCH MUCH faster ...i also have a new 2015 Durango Citadel with a 3.6L that is stock for the most part...and there is absolutely no comparison

Stock 0-60 on the v6 is like 7.5 seconds...mine is getting 5.0 sec 0-60 as its tuned right now...it's got a lot more in it as well so it's only going to get better from here..I'm waiting for RIPP to release the stage 2 V6 kit...which brings up the HP from 320 WHP to about 400

Re: V6 supercharger

Are they definitely releasing a stage 2 for the v6?? I am pretty close to buying a supercharger, I don't want to spend all that money then have them release a stage 2 right after

I don't think the stage 2 RIPP for the 3.6l is planned for release anytime soon...if ever

I was able to score one of the 2 or 3 stage 2 kits they ever made...the difference between the stage 1 and 2 is as follows:

Larger Intercooler( SRT stage 2 intercooler)
Larger Piping
Larger Injectors

the blower and everything else is the same ...the stage 1 kit is good to 320AWD HP safely...and the stage 2 GC that Ripp shows on their site only has larger injectors and is getting 400AWD HP..I'm not sure about this but I think the kit I have may be the only one they made with the larger intercooler...but i'm not sure.

When I installed the stage 2 kit it upped the boost to ~10lbs (up from 7lbs) due the volumetric increase from the larger Intercooler and piping.

HP went from 320Hp to 420AWD HP (to the wheels) at 9-10 Lbs

I ended up popping my motor though when I upped the boost to 13-14Lbs ...if you stay in the 7-10 lb range on the stock engine you'd prob be safe though

***last 2 pics is the stage 1*** ...and here's what the stage 2 kit looks like when installed

but if you are not careful you may find pieces of metal exiting the block like in my last few pics...this is what i found lodged in my front skid plate after the motor exploded

Thanks for the quick reply, I was confused about the stage 2. Seems like getting the bigger intercooler and pipes is out of the question but I'm sure the reg sc will be fine. Can't wait

Re: V6 supercharger

@ajag - where did you get the billet pieces from especially the catch can? I've only seen ones advertised for the hemi and SRT

Billet stuff

It's just an srt kit..it all fits into the v6 just fine ..I think a couple pieces needed a little modifying but it was simple

The oil cover was made for the v6 though
