What would it take to get under 15sec in the 1/4 mile?

What do you guys think it would take to get a 05' 4.7 into the high 14's or even low 15's in the 1/4mile. I plan to get a Superchip, right now I just have an intake and muffler but im guessing it will take a lot more than that? I'd like to avoid messing with the engine internals with mods like cam's since I want to keep my warranty.

Re: What would it take to get under 15sec in the 1/4 mile?

take your seats out drop the spare show up with no gas I know norcalWK ran a 16.4 in his WK and he has the superchips and 20" wheels.. so w.o. 20's I'm sure you're in the 15's but you would have to do full exhaust intake TB tune and some weight reduction to get into the 14's IMO without doing any extensive engine work.

I wouldnt really call them offroad tires, they are more of a hybrid I think, The revo's have a little more tread, I went with the d695 model for that reason.

Re: What would it take to get under 15sec in the 1/4 mile?

Haha i'm glad im a lightweight then. I havent run it yet but I might do an 08' intake manifold, superchip, and throttle body to go along with my intake and muffler. I was going to go 3in exhaust but I heard I will lose some off the line power/torque with that. I'd be happy with a 14.99 with those mods. =D 16.4 seems really high, I seen some magazine test run's and they seemed to be in the 15.6-7 range stock for the 4.7. I would do headers with high flow cats and 3in pipes but no one makes 4.7 headers and I doubt we will see any soon since they are going to halt production of the 4.7
