Re: Which mod is more beneficial?

IS 72mm what you recommend? I don't want any driveability issues...I have no intentions of "racing". I just like that seat of the pants feel when you stomp on it getting on the highway, or passing some d-bag

Re: Which mod is more beneficial?

There will be no drivability issues...

A 68mm-bladed BPTB will be ideal for what you want. Flows like a bigger bore tb with better snap and throttle response than a straight bore 70mm or bigger.

Re: Which mod is more beneficial?

Does a TB upgrade really make a difference? I've been on the fence about this? Where can I get one for a 57L? Thank you!

I sell them.

Here is a excerpt from Matt Guddat, someone i just sent a 5.7 TB to:

"I installed it on Saturday. Throttle response is MUCH better and it looks like I am getting about 1 more mpg now.I am liking the throttle body more and more everyday. I even went back into my programmer and reduced the throttle response because it was just too much !"

I have sold several that are ported to ~86 mm at the inlet, tapering to the stock blade then enlarged on the backside to match the intake manifold. The feedback has been 100% positive. And if you dont like it...send it back.

Re: Which mod is more beneficial?

When you get a moment, can you shoot me over a PM with what I need to do and how much? I'm guessing you send me one and I send you mine afterwards for a core? Does the improvement in throttle response and initial benefits stick around or do they "wear off" as the computer gets accustomed to more air coming in? Thanks!

Assuming Tony isn't interested in this, how much are you looking for? As far as I know those puppies are no longer for sale?

Feel free to PM me.

EDIT: Just noticed they are still on AirRam's site, but could be tempted...

Re: Which mod is more beneficial?

lets be honest here guys....on a stock motor...your not gonna notice any gains from a tb or muffler.....its just the flat out facts. Ive been in the same boat as you guys. I added tb's, 180 tstats, intakes, exhausts and not really noticed shit. Save the money and add custom cams and tune...then go for the tb's, exausts and the such. Then you will notice the 4.7 come to life..... JMO
