The 20 or so different folks that have bought 4.7 TBs from me would likely disagree. Ive never had anyone purchase a 4.7 TB from me and say "Hey, this kinda sucks, I want a refund." If I did, I'd issue it without question. The OP can try it, and if he doesnt like it, I will reimburse him fully and pay for his shipping the TB back to me. He literally has nothing to lose.

Just my experience, but I definitely noticed gains on my own truck, especially part throttle. If there weren't tangible gains to be had, I don't think the reviews would be so positive across the board- be it mine, Fastmans, Dwights, HiPotek, etc. Surely not everyone's butt dyno can be off?

F&B has noticed gains with various TB combos on the 4.7 when on the dyno... with nothing more than intake/catback exhaust.

The OP already has HO cams, better flowing heads, and a hot PCM thanks to Chrysler... Having seen what a HO will do with additional bolt ons, Id say he is good to go. I would agree that on a stock nonHO 4.7 that cams and tune would be money better spent but for the money, there are less effective modifications that could be done.

Let me translate:

"I got money. I don't waste it on all this BS mods like you poor people. I spend the big big bucks. My 4.7 clone is better than yours. Grow some balls and some money and get some real mods like me. I'm better than you and those TB, 180 t-stat, exhaust, etc, etc."

Did I get that right?

I totally agree with this. However, going in that direction just wasn't practicle for me.

Cams themselves cost about the same as a TB however, 10 hrs labour to get them installed quickly doubles/tripes that.

I go and get the easy bits done first: sports CAT, cat-back, CAI, TB, t-stat, tune.

When I can afford to do proper engine mods I will do it all at the same time: heads, cams, 08 intake, ported block, stroked crank (if I can get a forged crank now mopar combined them with the cast grr), pistons etc etc etc.

So at least in the mean time it sounds good and does definetly runs better.

I agree Ryan. But he is wanting mods above the 4.7ho and a set of hot came and a custom tune would be better than all listed imo.
