Re: Which one to pick up? Dry or Oil?

Dont trust me 100%.. I have the oil one and i think people use that one if you tend to have alot of dust or dirt that your gonna be driving in.. I am pretty sure it does not affect performance at all

Re: Which one to pick up? Dry or Oil?

I know most will say dry. I use an oiled K&N drop in with no issues....

Re: Which one to pick up? Dry or Oil?

you really dont want oil to collect on the IAT. I would get a dry one.

Re: Which one to pick up? Dry or Oil?

^^^ I guess but I have a 3.sev so I really wouldn't notice any performance differences like you guys would I guess. Now I have a purolator drop in cause I needed to clean the K&N.

Re: Which one to pick up? Dry or Oil?

It really doesn't matter. They started making the Dry ones because the oil fouls MAF sensors. We have no MAF, so either one will be fine.

Re: Which one to pick up? Dry or Oil?

DRY - no clean up or messy oiling process ... easy to remove and install ... cons though is that it does not trap micro dust like oil does because molecularly oil is thicker and will hold more

OIL - messy, and the clean up can get annoying once a while ... ur ride will be inoperable until you dry the filter or do whatever ... but in the end it will trap more dirt

but it all comes down to preference brosif

Dry. For compassion. On average you can buy an amsoil dry filter that will last 4 years for about $38 where with kn you pay more and then you have to buy recharge kits. With the amsoil you use light compressed air to clean once a year

Re: Which one to pick up? Dry or Oil?

I prefer the dry filters myself. I have a K&N on my diesel and it is always crapped up with something. It gets tedious cleaning it also. JMO.
