Which Tune for Diablosport Predator

those of you who have had the predator for awhile, what is the best tune to go with for the 5.7L hemi. i've read a lot of conflicting reports. some people say install the 91 tune but run 93 octane for best hp/torque numbers. some say install 93 tune and run 93 octane. have any of you played around with the canned tunes. which way should i go. thanks

Re: Which Tune for Diablosport Predator

I tried the 93 tune with 93 gas and I thought it was very good, but I havent tried any of the others since I bought a CMR tune!

Re: Which Tune for Diablosport Predator

Im running the 93 tune 93 octane. I guess the guys that were running the 91 tune is because they were getting less knock running the 91 then with the 93.

Re: Which Tune for Diablosport Predator

Itried the 91 because that's the best gas I can get in WA. After getting the CMR though, I will never install the canned tunes again. The CMR tunes are awesome (power, torque management, drivability)!!

I agree.. I would like to see the 87 tune revised to a more mpg oriented tune and save the power for the higher octane setups....

I know I sound like a sissy... but sometimes I do wish we got better gas milage, especially when its a 40 mile drive to go see parents, and I will be going to ohio a few times this winter.

Ive been driving with 93 oct. and the 93 tune, and still get better gas milage than i did stock, but i am sure there can be a way to tune it to get 20+mpg consistantly

Re: Which Tune for Diablosport Predator

i decided to load the 91 tune and am using 93 octane. i haven't done any data logging or modifying the 91 tune. off the line acceleration seems better but mid-rpms seems much less. if i'm going 30-40mph and stomp the pedal, the jeep slowly accelerates. before the tune, it sounded like it was going to eat the car in front of me. i think i'm going to load the 93 tune

Re: Which Tune for Diablosport Predator

How many miles have you put on it with the 91 tune? You have to drive it for at least 30 miles so it can adapt and you should be able to see a noticable difference. Are you planning on getting a CMR tune?

I'm looking at getting a CMR now but im trying to decide on who I want to go with and use.
