Wiring really wouldn't be that bad, especially if you went with a standalone EMS like AEM they offer universal systems and I'm sure there are more options out there. What about bolt patterns for the trans, or I guess you could swap the whole driveline out as well.
There is an adapter now for the 4L80 trans.

Anyone can run a standalone, but that's not street-legal in most states.

Re: wj for racing

There is? That helps. The only problem with EMS would be states that require emission test, which there are ways to tune it to pass, we do it with srt 4's all the time. I don't know of any laws that state your not aloud running an aftermarket aside from emissions.

Quite a few states plug into your obdII port to "check" that all's well

Re: wj for racing

Well when your going for a 600hp-700hp setup, I think emissions are the last thing your worrying about. If your in a state that has strict emission laws then it's probably obvious that the standalone EMS isn't for you or you need to wire it where you can hook your factory system backup to pass. I'm in OHIO so I really don't deal with emission testing and do not know all there procedures in other states. But I'm sure you can find a way around them.

Re: wj for racing

If your considering swapping the LS1 I think these guys would be the place to contact http://www.novak-adapt.com/ . They do not have anything listed for the WJ, but they might be able to help.

Re: wj for racing

Maybe a 5spd dakota harness would work

Ford may not care if you put those bow tie things in their cars but no self respecting red blooded Mopar guy would ever allow it

Re: wj for racing

LOL then mopar should have built or offer something better then what's in it. Believe me I would like to put a Hemi in it, but money for a full hemi swap, lack of room, and LS series has a better aftermarket supply makes the LS1 more appealing.

I found out some good news, in a couple of months new product will be coming out for the WJ
