Re: Wow.... Headers are in.

FYI, I just bit the bullet on a set of AR headers from Jet Hot...hands down the best place to order headers from, if you plan on having them coated. I got a smoke'n deal (better than my local vendor and AR themselves) and they upgraded my coating for free...SUPER competetive pricing. I'll let you all know how they turned out. AR is sending out the headers for those of us with 5.7s with 5.7L flanges, which should take care of the clearance issue found when using the 6.1L flanges. I had an extra bung added to the driver's side collector for my wideband.

I can't wait to get 'Operation Jeep Speed' finished, for I am having a Builder Bill's 4000 TQ, stage II valve body and certified flex plate (heads up for those of you who have been waiting for these items to become available for the 545RFE tranny) installed along with my new SRTMax cam, '09 Eagle intake manifold and headers.

I just hope my transfer case holds up, lol! I'm not sure how the QDII is going to handle the extra power to the wheels...we'll see this coming season. I'm currently going through a pre-mid-life crisis, having the need for speed, lol!

Care to show pics or explain what headers you used? There are none available for the Jeep 4.7 WJ.

Re: Wow.... Headers are in.

Those look very well built; so how many labor hours did you get charged for ?
For what the cost is, I would get them jet hot coated for more HP, and prevent any rusting down the road.

Re: Wow.... Headers are in.

did you get the 6.1 headers or 5.7 headers from a different vehicle?

and it doesn't look like it but did you lose any ground clearance?

Hemi beast hasnt been on for a little but he got headers for the 5.7L Jeep GC. American racing is pretty much the only company making them right now.

They are running about 1600 bucks shipped w/ cats, harness and coating and the hole drilled on the driver side for the wideband sensor.

A local shop also quoted me for about 450 to install them along with a cam

So it gets pricey

Oh ok, I didn't see anything listed on the ARH site for 5.7L Jeeps. Is it a special order?
