Re: Is there anything specific you guys would like a deal on?

Steve,

I am interested in the NOVA 3157 for my tail lights. I went to putco.com and according to them Nova LED Bulbs - 3157 Red Part Number: 234157R will work.

link to them:
http://www.putco.com/products.cfm?ac...9-0499a0f3d6e5

here's the question: I know that for any other LED bulb I need a special one called the CK or S_CK where _ = color. and i also need to add a 6 ohm resistor to each side. now thats for anything from v-led or autolumination.

this explains whats different:
http://autolumination.com/3157_led_s...eshooting.html

SO: can we check with Putco if for sure their bulb is going to work based on this?

I dont want to spend all that dough if it will not work thx.

Hi,
The current bulbs will not work in CK applications. The new bulbs that Putco will be coming out with shortly will be able to be used in both applications though.

Are you certain that your vehicle is designed for CK applications though?

Steve

FOR REAR TAILIGHTS on the GRand Cherokee WK: 07+

when they changed to 1 bulb for park/blink/brake they went to the CK sockets.
so thats any Grand Cherokee 07+ need the CK LED bulbs.

Also, to make any led work on the circuit we add a 6 ohm resistor.

FRONT TURNS on a Grand Cherokee: 07+;

ARE NOT CK and any of the 3157s will work. and need a 3 ohm resistor due to more than one light on the circuit.

So Steve: Will you let Putco KNOW that their website is WRONG and that I would be HAPPY to be a tester for the CK bulbs if they make them

NOTE to others: standard bulbs fit both sockets due to way they are wired. LED is more specific.
