Re: Xenon Depot Official Feedback Thread

4300k will be more light...but white. the 5000k will put out less light(barely though) and have a blue hue to its light

2) It is strenuous on the components to be turned on/off repeatedly ie: flashing people.

isn't there any possibility to have the flash made by the halogen and when you output the high-beam you get the HID ?

( take a look at High/low Bulb (aka -2 bulb) )

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=919073

( take a look at '"nick325xit 5spd" post - he is talking about flashing with halogen ) - The answer is that all bi-xenon headlamps retain a halogen high beam for flashing

Re: Xenon Depot Official Feedback Thread

the problem with adding HID bulbs to the high's is the HID bulbs have a slight warm up period. So when you flip them on to flash someone....it takes them 5-10 seconds toi warm up to maximum output. If you drive with your highs on a lot...it would be ok...but most people dont. Plus...its hard on the bulbs to turn on and off like you do with the highs. To be honest....with HID's in the lows...you dont need the highs. I cant remember th last time I used my highs.

Re: Xenon Depot Official Feedback Thread

To the same effect, isn't flashing bad in general since the lows are being flashed too? Or is that okay because they're presumably already "warmed up"?

Re: Xenon Depot Official Feedback Thread

Hi,

sogard - The bulbs you are looking at are H4 bulbs which are available in bi-xenon as H4 halogen bulbs are dual filament bulbs. Your vehicle uses 2 separate bubls for the low/high beam meaning that you could not instal a bi-xenon kit on your vehicle.

tman4024 - It would not be ideal to flash if your low beams get deactivated when you switch to highs.
