I found the kit at walmart for 18.99 plus tax
my headlights were covered with yellow due to having to be parked in the direct Louisiana sun for 8+ hours a day.

Came with easy to follow instructions and pads to finish your whole car and do someone else's headlights.

I took my time with it, repeated some steps a few times to make sure the quality would be perfect.

My headlights look better then a brand new set.
The lens are shiny and 100% clear.

No complaints.

headlights are perfect... kinda crazy to me.
on the fogs i just used the last two steps to get rid of some grime. they improve A LOT!
didnt wanna sand them to much since i didnt wanna take them out of the srt8 bumper.

here they are (sorry for the bugs)
last picture was hard to focus, making the headlight look fuzzy, all taken from my phone.

That looks good. What was the name of the kit? And did you have to remove you headlight assemblies.

I need help. Mine didn't come out too well when I used the kit today. My headlight now have foggy spots. Some spots are clear but most are foggy.

Did I sand too much or not enough?

Would it be ok if I bought another 3M kit and do it again?

Please help.

Can I get some suggestions please before I buy another kit. I have to make a decision on this by 5:30

And that's probably the issue. I think I didn't sand it evenly. So that means the part with the green pad will be a lot harder.

Donyou think I would need a new green pad? Should I use a drill with the green pad?

#14 ·
you probly didnt wet sand on the last step. or you sanded to hard on the steps.
U dont need another kit. it comes with a few pieces of paper.

even pressure and last step with the green pad needs to be wet them the polish is where is brings it back

I wet sand. I need more compound. Lol. And I'd feel better with a new pad for the 3rd step also.

You know what, **** it. I'm just going to buy an aftermarket set of headlights OEM spec'd and retrofit them with mini morimoto's. I'm done.

Retrofit coming soon. And I hear the aftermaket assemblies are easier to open.

lmao dude, yea its because if you appply to much pressure or you dont move it along the headlight quick enough it will cause it to get a hazy spot which you will need to sand out more. the green pad is fine you dont need another one. just keep it soak and even across the light. the compand is the same as wax or polish you rub on your jeep.

Ok. Good because I have some of Meguiar's liquid wax. I'll go ahead and try to clean these up but this did motivate me to retrofit a new set.

The mini morimoto projectors screw into the existing holes on the lows. The only hard part is opening them up.

Thanks for all your help. I just wanted to have a clear set of heads for the XenonDepot hid kit that come in the mail tomorrow.

The retrofit price is only going to cost me $250 for new heads and the projectors.

Just tried it again. The shit sucks. I quit.

I can't believe I just screwed up my headlights with this kit.

#22 ·
I did. I think the hazing is on the inside of the lens. I'm just going to do what I said I would do.

#23 ·
LOL

thats the outside. green pad and take a hose and soak down the headlight and pad constantly and go over it. dry it all over and remove the dirt then polish it with the pad and alot of compound

#25 ·
I used a power drill on it for a while. It look like it had no effect.

#26 ·
maybe need a stronger drill.... idk dude.. this baffles me lol
