Well, I decided to make my own CAI a few months ago, and right around the same time we got a new vendor at JG - Synthetic Lube Store (link).
I was already set on going with an Amosil filter as after my research I concluded they really are the industry leader in dry filters.
Anyways, after getting in touch with Gabe at SLS, who by the way is an absolute stand up guy, receieved my order within days.
Amsoil has a ton of filter sizes to choose from, so finding one that was going to be a good fit was no issue.
Since installing it the filter has been great!
I cleaned the throttle bottle after installing (whcih was a mess), and have checked it recently and zero dirt build up. (mind you it's been a short period of time).
I HIGHLY recommend Amsoil EaU dry filters and purchasing through our vender, Synthetic Lube Store. As I said, Gabe is super easy to work with!
I have mine for the stock air box. I love it... Seems like better air flow. Best part is when my buddies clean out their k&n filters and have to wait for them to dry and I do mine last and am ready to drive first! Plus no worries about oil getting on air sensors..
i bought it with the first one but it fits the second one.......i will do some extensive measurements so ANY amsoil guy should be able to figure it out LOL
One more question Robby. How far did you have to bend the bracket, 90 degree bend or more like 45? I always need to have the option to switch my air intake system back to stock at any time.
Now we just need to find a dealer who can give us a deal!!!!
