Well, I decided to make my own CAI a few months ago, and right around the same time we got a new vendor at JG - Synthetic Lube Store (link).

I was already set on going with an Amosil filter as after my research I concluded they really are the industry leader in dry filters.

Anyways, after getting in touch with Gabe at SLS, who by the way is an absolute stand up guy, receieved my order within days.

Amsoil has a ton of filter sizes to choose from, so finding one that was going to be a good fit was no issue.

Since installing it the filter has been great!

I cleaned the throttle bottle after installing (whcih was a mess), and have checked it recently and zero dirt build up. (mind you it's been a short period of time).

I HIGHLY recommend Amsoil EaU dry filters and purchasing through our vender, Synthetic Lube Store. As I said, Gabe is super easy to work with!

Here's a link to my build

I also swapped my K&N 63's filter for a dry Amsoil one. I also got the dust cover.

I owe some pics......

I was able to get one 2 inches longer than the k&n so thats got to be good. It was a tight fit but its in there.

when it gets above freezing, maybe saturday, ill get you some pics.

I have mine for the stock air box. I love it... Seems like better air flow. Best part is when my buddies clean out their k&n filters and have to wait for them to dry and I do mine last and am ready to drive first! Plus no worries about oil getting on air sensors..

ok i did some recon......

the bracket is bent down and i use it to attach any wires i have going that way.

but I dont think its necessary for this filter.

i found the box and my reciept its for the 6081 it has my K&N in the box.

so its up to Gabe to figure out which one he sent me LOL

thanks for the info rob!!! sent gabe another email and haven't heard back. i guess customer service isn't what it used to be:mad: lmao

intersting find is at that he media height of the 6081 is 8
the k+n is only 6

i think the EaU6065 is the closest match for us with the height and top Od only being .5 bigger than the k+n
