I bought these Black Reps from wheelman011971 on ebay a little while ago and the rims were beautiful on the outside (face of the rim). So what I did when I recieved the rims from the seller, I opened the box and looked at all the rims. The faces looked great! No issues, so I put the rims back into storage until the installer had an appointment for me. So that Friday I had them installed and after the installer put the tires on the Jeep, I noticed that on the back of 1 rim, they were not painted properly. So now I'm ****ed because to dismount them it will be another 48 bucks (I paid 48 per rim to have them mounted and balanced). I contact the seller and I told him about the issue and he said I can send a call tag and send a new one. I said no I couldnt do that because I would have to pay to have it dismounted and that since it is on the inside of the rim, it cant be seen and I would like to have some money refunded (100 is what I was expecting. Not a big deal IMO) to me via paypal. So a couple of weeks later I send him the pictures (when I got the pics for him I discovered it was on another rim as well, so 2 in total) but I notice that its on another rim as well! So I contact him again and send him the pictures. And this is his response:

"First of all NO manufacture in the world pays for any labor charges for warranty claims. Second you should have returned the wheels before you mounted the tires on the wheels and none of this would have been an issue. Third it seems to me that what ever paint you say is thin in an area is on the backside of the wheel which you can't see anyway, but if you think it is a warranty situation you will have to take the the tires off the wheels & ship them back to me. Once we get the wheels back inspect them then we will ship you new ones. We will pay the freight on the wheels going back to you but you have to pay the freight getting them to us. Again, if you would have sent them back before you put thee tires on them none of this would have been a problem."

And my reply to him:

"First of all I didnt notice the issue with the rims until they were placed on the tires, otherwise I would have told the man not to put them on. Secondly, the point is that while you cant see the issue when the wheel is placed on the wheels should have never left your factory like this, and I shouldnt have to eat the mounting and dismounting costs because of your product that has issues. I took the rims in the box and handed them to the installer, all I checked when I got the rims was the face of them because who would think that a manufacturer would paint the front of the rim beautifully but paint the back of the rim half assed? Then you expect me to pay for shipping back to you? Are you insane?! Now I will send you the pictures to your email if you give me the address and if you dont want to settle this with me, I will go on all the forums that I am a member of which include: jeepgarage.org which I was a co-owner of, cherokeesrt8.com, jeepsunlimited.com, jeepforum.com, lxforums.com and all of the other ones that I am a member of that are not automotive and I will make a post about how you are being unreasonable and that no one should buy rims from you.

And btw if you dont believe me about what it cost me to get the rims installed, you can call up Final Touch in West New York, New Jersey and ask yourself."

So after 4 days of no response, I am here now venting my frustration. :)

Here are the pics I sent:

Now I know the issue is on the inside but I didnt pay 778 dollars for rims that are not painted correctly.

Anyways, dont buy any rims from Wheelman011971 on ebay!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW: Thanks to Atilla for the pics.

i understand your gripe and it makes sense when you spend your hard earned money on something you want it to be perfect. but me i would say since its on the back of the rim just paint it your self or try to ignore it. 778 is a great deal on some SRT reps btw.

I understand its on the back of the rim but that's not the point. For 778 bucks I expect it to be right.

But I know I'm not going to get any satisfaction from the seller so whatever. I just wanted to vent my frustration. Its like the seller doesnt give a shit. I still cant believe he had the audacity to tell me I have to pay for shipping to send the rims back.

I understand both sides but for the vendor to take an aggressive stance isn't good either. Hopefully you get this worked out Joe. Ps where's the dam picture? Am I gonna have to send someone after you for you to get it? Haha

Yeah seriously. ****ing guy is an asshole!

As far as the pic goes, I told him, that's out of my hands now! lol

sorry joe.

but what he says is true. not many company will pay the labor on a warranty claim. I agree it SUX but it is what it is.......
Thanks Rob!

Oh well, I figured that I would make a post about it on here. :)

Well that sux Joe! But being on the inside, your Jeep will still be just as sexy as always....ya know....even though it's silver! ;)

I can't believe with how anal you are about how your Jeep looks that you didn't check every square inch of those wheels when you bought them. :)
Yeah I know totally my fault for not checking the backs. Who would have thought it would have looked like that?

i had a pending order of two rims with him.......... once i read this email i send him a message to cancel them! so you have already cost him some money by posting here......
Thanks Matt!

ahahaha what a joke... thats a half ass paint job and i'd be mad too!

sorry bro
No worries DG!

why are you guys not buying from FR? None of this would happen......
I'll keep the full explanation to myself. :)

Ive posted many times if you call them and tell them where youre from...they are cheaper. I paid much less than what Joe paid before they were a vendor here.
Yeah I called a while ago, spoke to Doug, said you specifically sent me and I was a co-owner (at the time). Doug quoted me like 857 or something like that. Not everyone gets Scott's prices. LOLOL

sorry to see this Joe! i'll be pissed as hell too!

your jeep's still pure sex!
Thanks Davy!
