Nitto Terra Grapplers Are The S@&t!

I always see people asking what kind of tires are best, what kind aren't too loud, what kind look aggressive... I am totally loving my Nittos! I got a set of 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers for about $750 insured, installed, and rebated. I believe it was $147 for a tire alone.

They're great on pavement - going from stock 235s to the aggressive tread Nittos only dropped my mileage by about 1mpg. They aren't loud and the look awesome!

They're plow right through mud!

And tonight they just amazed me on the ice. I have been up to the mountains with snowy roads and pulled a couple people out and so I knew they were good in wintery conditions but it has snowed, melted, and frozen into a thick layer of ice on the roads today. I just got in from driving about 15 miles from a friend's house. The roads were so slick that I nearly fell 3 times just walking out to the Jeep. Expecting to be sliding my way home, I was pleasantly surprised when it felt like I was driving on dry pavement!

So for anyone in the market for all terrain tires, take a look at the Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers Are The S@&t!

i put them on my TJ rubicon after my MTs starting getting low and LOUD. That was 2 years ago, man I was so impressed by them and the price was better than buying BFG AT's, plus everyone and their mom has the BFG A/T's and I wanted an AT that I didnt see on the streets everywhere.

good to hear your luck with them, they are great tires. just remember to rotate frequently so you dont prematurely burn em up

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers Are The S@&t!

My buddy has them on his lifted Dakota. He's got 33's and they are good tires untill they wear. They are way LOUD now! Other than that, he's liked them.

I'm not really sure how far they are but I'm in Charlotte. Never been to the OBX, typically just go to Myrtle Beach.

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers Are The S@&t!

I've run 3 sets of the Nitto TGs now and love them. One of the best wet traction on/offroad compromise tires around. My last set had just over 50K miles and still had decent tread left.

Re: Nitto Terra Grapplers Are The S@&t!

I really like the Terra Grapplers too. But you know what tire I like even more? Cooper Discoverer ATR. It's very similar to the Terra Grappler, but I've found the Discoverer ATR to be even better in snow. You can't go wrong with either tire though...
