Sea Foam treatment....

Complete!!

Followed the instructions from the thread posted earlier and worked perfectly. Got 2 cans a funnel and a paint cup to measure out exact amounts all for $16.**

It smoked like crazy while I was pouring SF into the vacuum line.(was a pita to get off, but twist method is the way to go!)

After I let it sit for about 15ish minutes, it fluttered at first then began smoking a little bit. Drove it as SF recommends aggressive(but legal) lol and it feels alive!

Seems to run a lot smoother!(not that it was rough before) I'm in love with this stuff!

Re: Sea Foam Treatment

Well I seafoam today I put the 10oz in the crankcase then drove around got the Hem engine to 205 degrees it was nice and warm. Then I took off the vaccum hose and slowly pour in a 1/3 pint which was 3oz of seafoam the engine shut off a couple of time got it back on each time, once finished let it sit for 20 mins. Started jeep up fine little white smoke drove it like mad and no big smoke show. What did I do wrong if any. This is the same thing I did to my dads ford sport trac truck with 100k miles and it smoked a little. Oh in his truck we did not put it in the oil because we just changed it. But one thing was interesting about it was we just changed the oil at 7k and it was alot dirty thicker than before so maybe it cleaned all the sort and it went into oil. We we put in new oil and it runs better and we lost this rattling noise the engine made and it is alot quieter and smoother. I may wait alittle longer then change my oil see if it gets dirtier.

Re: Sea Foam Treatment

Silly question, what do you mean by crank case? The seafoam treatment says to put it in the oil/gas tank/ and vac line. They do NOT say crank case...
