Silicon key fob covers

I was having some problems with my panic button getting accidentally activated on my key fob and thought I would try these covers. They look good, fit good, and eliminated the panic button problem. They were shipped from China, but arrived in about a week. The price was right too. I thought I would pass this along in case anyone was interested.

I don't have the panic problem, but would appreciate knowing roughly how thick they are--as in do they offer any shock protection for those of us who drop stuff?

Re: Silicon key fob covers

They are about 2mm. thick. I would think they would absorb quite a bit of the shock if the fob was dropped.

Re: Silicon key fob covers

I've had that problem a couple of times and it's annoying. I find it interesting that by using these it has eliminated the panic button issue. They could have done a better job with the location of the panic button or even some sort of guard around it so it's not being activated as much.
