Here is my synopsis of the whole process!

Product: XenonDepot 6K HID's Lows 9006...I love the slim ballasts, and they were a breeze to mount...put them under the black plastic piece underneath the headlight housing (see pics) and no zip ties/tape required;). I also bought the fogs and will do a similar write-up!:D

Seller: Steve - Great communication, even helped me out through a brain fart!

Install time: For me cause I was an idiot - 1.5 hours; realistic time frame - 30 mins

Hardest part: ME BEING DUMB! Check, check and re-check you connections...all I have to say. Also make sure you have the proper ground, that is another common fix I rec'd while troubleshooting

Outcome: I LOVE THEM! I have been gawking at other peoples HIDs and now I finally have the driving pleasure. I do not know why I waited this long. I was on a budget and for the money you can't beat the Volt kit...ALTHOUGH I have heard amazing things about the extreme dig product Steve has:confused:

Here are some pics...

Hey Brad,

It was nice speaking with you. I am glad that you have gotten everything resolved. As I told you on the phone, in 9 years I have never had a bulb arrive DOA so I was quite surprised when you told me that you had a dead bulb. Thank you for taking the time to look at everything again and I am happy to hear that you're pleased with your purchase and the outcome.

Don't beat yourself up for missing something. At least you took the time to diagnose and solve the problem. You wouldn't believe how many people don't do that and end up wasting time/money to send back a perfectly good product.

Thank you for the detailed pictures =)

Im waiting for my LED bulbs in my fogs to go, then I plan on ordering the volt kit. I am doing this because with the WK fogs a relay is not needed, correct? I currently have the extreme 6500k in my lows from xenondepot.

Im perfectly happy with the lows right now, though for some odd reason when i first installed them id get the drivers side flickering so I added another ground, all summer worked fine no issues, then come fall, cold weather and i got the flickering from the same side again and even shutting off. I know I might be crazy for saying this, but it seemed to flicker and shut off at the same exact spots in the road on my way to work in the AM. Would work fine all the way from my house to the highway, then on the on ramp it would flicker a few times, then getting off the highway there was a certain bend in the road where the light shut off on me completely. I noticed it seemed to coincide with bumps I went over. I hooked one of the grounds directly to the battery, it did flicker a few times for a week or so but now i havent noticed it flicker in about a week maybe more. It always stumped me, because it seemed to happen over bumps, yet in my driveway I tried to make it flicker, taking the relay and ballast and and every connection and shaking them hard with nothing at all. YES, I am too lazy to actually switch parts around from side to side, thats my fault, but its a pain in the balls having to remove my air filter and other crap to get to it. Everything is so tight shoved in there. But im happy, for now....

They are extra $$$...from what I have read it is hit of miss with the WK's and fogs needing relays. I know Irf and Nate didn't need relays...both have 08+...so who knows maybe I will try one with and one without and see if there is any difference!

Any update, do the fogs need a relay to work? I did some reading and it seems that it is always a good idea to have any cuircut that is on a switch to have a relay. So i'll prob just get the extreme kit for my fogs, just waiting for xenondepot to have a big end of year sale with 85% off all HID kits for jeepgarage members. Lol.

TimmyB - Not sure about an 85% off sale but let me know when you're ready to do something and I will do my best to help you out as you are a returning customer.

Steve

Awesome, thanks. And I was teasing, the prices are good and the kits are great and wouldnt bother buying anywhere else but you. I'll be ordering after christmas, these LED bulbs in my fogs dont do crap for light output, and waiting to pay off my big credit card bill from buying gifts for everyone. My buddy bought a set of the xtreme's for his Altima from you after he saw mine and asked where I got them from.

08Hemi, looking at your pix closely are your ground points sanded down enough, and maybe shouldnt the ballasts be secured down somehow? Just my observations. I know ground points with bare metal will rust pretty quickly, and the ballasts might bounce around and maybe get loose. It would suck if a ballast got loose and ended up hanging by the wires, or the grounding points rusting and causing problems down the road.

Im ordering my Volt kit tomorrow, well actually later on today since its so late. I will give a good review with pix, im sure the volt kit for my fogs will be perfect!!!! xenondepot is the best!!

Matt got on me for the sanding, and I did and re-did the grounds after I put the fogs in...here are pics. As for rusting, after these pics were taken I used some silicone to "seal" up the grounds to prevent rust. Also, no snow/salt here in sunny southern cali!

And as for the low ballasts moving, I have put about 600 miles and no issues...it is a perfect fit under the black plastic and I cannot pull them out without releiving pressure off of the ballast. I think they will be good...I also used a lot of zip-ties, so there isn't much play

Well i took your idea Timmy and I sealed and painted my grounds. I put clear silicone down, then two coats of automotive primer then three coats of satin white...I also heat-shrink'd some of the exposed terminals on the power for the ballasts and the grounds! All sealed up and ready for the elements. Here are some pics
