Mine as well. It was delivered with the factory installed dipstick reading exactly "FULL". Which turned out to be 1/2 quart too much. After getting and installing the correct dipstick it showed it was over filled by 1/2 quart.

Now it takes exactly 7 quarts for the dipstick to read "FULL". Overfilling, even by 1/2 quart, can cause smoky starts.
