08' factory projectors in a 05'.....need some pointers

Alright I just bought a set of new 08' projectors to put into my 05'. I understand the issue with the wiring and the gap under the headlight b/c of the different bumper on an 08'.

My questions is what do I all need to make this work and look good? They didn't no come with ballast or bulbs....what kind should I get? Wiring these is my biggest worry....I know splicing needs to be done. Just not sure how on an aftermarket HID kit.

Lastly, what are people doing to fill in the gap between the headlight and the bumper...."the bumps" i have heard people call them.

Xenondepot HID's will be best for your OEM Projectors!

To fill in the gap, you have to buy Stillens (Eye Lids). BlackOps our vendor sells them.

if you bought the aftermarket set on ebay then you dont need to splice anything. just get an hid kit and install them with some relays

because they are halogen, you will still need to buy a hid kit and relays

you wont be using the plug on the headlight, you will be plugging the aftermarket hid kit into your stock wiring with the relay in between. the high beam, turn signal, etc will plug right in.

I would love to see the output of these projectors compared to OEM projectors! I had never thought of just using headlight covers to cover the "bumps"

Good idea!!

Word.

For the same price, you can get those 08-10 BLACK projector/halo ebay ones. Think they would be of the same quality? The 08-10 look WAY better than 05-07

Re: 08' factory projectors in a 05'.....need some pointers

those headlights need the oem ballasts and bulbs to work, they say that their only halogen but thats not true they have the port for the ballast and take D1S bulbs. get them from car-part.com or ebay, fyi the ballasts and bulbs are pricey

Re: 08' factory projectors in a 05'.....need some pointers

i enstalled the same ones on my car, they are great and work as well as any oem hids ive seen. lens qulaity is really good and their super bright heres a link to how the back looks to prove that they are definitely not going to to work with the standard 9006 bulbs aftermarket OEM spec'd HIDs for wk
