Here we go guys, some pics of my front 08+ conversion mod, plus info.

Besides the front bumper cover, headlights, grille and air dam, most parts like screws and such can be reuse from your 05-07. The diagram below shows what additional parts you will need to make this conversion.

You also need # 3, part # 04806226AA, 6 of them
Also the actual front bumper part # is 68033744AB

Numbers 10, 15 and 24 you don't really need. But I would recommend them for a tight fit. ;) Number 25 is the same hardware that attaches the 05-07 air dam to the bumper, but I think you will need an extra one. Im not sure because I've got all of those plastic parts new. Any questions, feel free to PM me.

It wasn't as expensive I thought it would be... Ebay, is definitely your friend!
Very easy to do, anyone with a garage can do it without breaking a sweat. I really love the 08+ look and of course, those awesome OEM HID headlights. :D

BTW, I wanna thank Scott for the info on the HIDs and Mario for fixing a lousy paint job.

JG ROCKS!!!
Cheers

awesome Fabs!!!!!!

One question-did your fender liner holes line up on the non-srt bumper? The very last hole on my srt bumper didnt line up. I just drilled a new hole in the fender liner and then used the plastic rivet. Not a big deal...just curious/

Your welcome for the help by the way. It was my pleasure. I love my lights as well.

Yeah, seeing it in person at the NY meet, I'm impressed with how nice it looks. Great job.

Those are repeater lights from OEM WH, euro WK version. Ben (Marlin) sent me the measurement for accurate position. I took my Jeep to guy recommended by Mario (QBNKID - NX-1 auto detailing). It took him 1.5 hours. He tapped into the side turn lights. Perfect job!!

I really like the end result. Very clean, discrete yet distinctive.
I was initially planning to make a conversion from my 06 Overland to an 96 SRT-8 front but now a conversion to an 08 SRT8 seems like a better option.
The one thing that bothers me is that it seems that you can get an 08 SRT-8 front bumper cover at less than 150 bucks from mopar genuine parts dot com. Does that sound right to everybody ? Been emailing them and calling for two days without success.

that is not the 08 SRT bumper. I saw that about 6 months ago and ordered it. They called me to let me know it was a mistake on their part. No idea why it wasnt corrected yet? There were some 05-09 SRT bumpers on ebay for $499.....no idea on shipping to Kosovo though........yuck

Thanks, it really did not sound right to me either. So back to 06 SRT-8 ... or the 08 plain vanilla.

You need to look around for shipping but there are companies that will ship by air between 3 to 6 dollar per kilo which is not that bad. Get my oil like that or have to pay 25 dollars per quart of 5w-20 and 40 dollars per quart of ATF+4.
