you dont need a new bumper support, just the bracket (it is around $30)

Besides the front bumper cover, headlights, grille and air dam, most parts like screws and such can be reuse from your 05-07. The diagram below shows what additional parts you will need to make this conversion.

You also need # 3, part # 04806226AA, 6 of them
Also the actual front bumper part # is 68033744AB

Numbers 10, 15 and 24 you don't really need. But I would recommend them for a tight fit. Number 25 is the same hardware that attaches the 05-07 air dam to the bumper, but I think you will need an extra one. Im not sure because I've got all of those plastic parts new. Any questions, feel free to PM me.

It wasn't as expensive I thought it would be... Ebay, is definitely your friend!
Very easy to do, anyone with a garage can do it without breaking a sweat. I really love the 08+ look and of course, those awesome OEM HID headlights.

BTW, I wanna thank Scott for the info on the HIDs and Mario for fixing a lousy paint job.

JG ROCKS!!!
Cheers
Hi there, I'm new here. I just bought a 2005 WK which had a small accident to the front, so I need to change drivers light, grill and a bumper, so I'm thinking about this conversion as well. I just have a two questions:

1. can someone post the list of parts for Limited / Overland model, pls? The list (diagram) mentioned is not available anymore.
2. I bought an European version. Do you know guys, if there are any difference between US and EU models? I think there are some differences at headlights, but as far as I know the difference should be just at point of certification.

Sorry for my english

Thank you
Robin

Re: 08+ front conversion

Hi Robin.
1. I am pretty sure its this diagram ... part numbers numbers can be retrieved from it.
2. EU/US indeed certification issue. Dimensions and connectors are identical.

If you going to do the switch, you might as well upgrade to the Xenon lights.

Re: 08+ front conversion

I forgot to buy the air dam I guess it is called in the first post. Can I remove the bumper as one Unit to install it or do I have to separate the two halfs on the bumper

Re: 08+ front conversion

You have the airdam, that is the lower part. Just remove the lower part to install that part

Re: 08+ front conversion

It just yanks off? The body shop put the two halfs together.

Re: 08+ front conversion

they are clipped together start on the corners and work towards the midle and you will be able to figure out how it comes off rather easily. they are made to be removable for off roading

Re: 08+ front conversion

I'm terrified to start yanking on my freshly painted bumper.
Is there any hardware required or does the support snap in place ?

Re: 08+ front conversion

the black part the geniuses forgot to use is the main bracket for the lower air dam so since that is not installed then most of the hardware is missing. should remove very easily without that part
