Well since my last thread and my accident i am officially doing an 08 front end on my 05 Dark Khaki WK Limited.

I Just ordered 2 Brand New 08 Headlights off ebay and the shop is going to replace the bumper cover, Grille lower lip and all other needed parts with 08 Limited Parts. I am so excited.

My WK goes in on Dec 6th For the body work and should be done in about a week.

I will update this thread and post pics as soon as its done.

its gonna look awesome Kyle! where did you order your headlights from? rockauto? Im hoping the aftermarket lights are easier to open to paint

I bought them off ebay from rambotech after market parts. i hope the quality is good.

I am not modifying the lights at all.

I am really happy to be doing this, i never would have spent the $ out if pocket so i had been planning to do it if an accident ever happened.

I think i am going to have a 3.5 v6 charger for a rental too, i am siiked about that. I loved my v6 challenger rental i had for my wedding and i love chargers.

So tomorrow morning i drop off my WK at the Body shop to get the work done. THe headlights and grille should be here any day so once they are here i will drop them off as well.

Today i was going through my jeep and because i trust noone i tool 100% all of my stuff out of it and put it in bags so nothing is missing or out of place when i pick it up in a week or so.

I did however notice that my pass side headlight is broken at all tabs so when they take everything apart and see that they will tell the insurance company and the cost of one new headlight will have to be paid for by the insurance company. SInce they are using all OEM parts on it the added cost of this one headlight will pay for both aftermarket 08 headlights i am supplying for the project, SO WIN!

As of right now this is what they will do,

Pull/Repair any damaged metal/frame work.

Replace Bumper cover and headlights and grille with 08 parts.

No License plate bracket will be bought or installed by the shop, No Chrome lower bumper insert ( I will buy and install this over the summer for that full 08/10 Limited/Overland Look.)

They will buy and install new tow hooks and 08 lower air dam support bracket.

The final thing i need to worry about is if they can get the lower air damn ready for paint or if it will be textured. I really dont want to keep it black and laredo styled so i hope i can afford the cost of paint and i hope they can get a smooth air dam. Otherwise i am buying a used limited air dam off ebay tomorrow and they can paint that.

The shop is not really wanting to prep a textured lower air dam and i am trying to do this on a budget so hopefully they can order a ready for paint air dam and paint that.

Wish me luck, i need to push them tomorrow morning to get that ready for paint air dam and hopefully by the end of the week i will have the only Dark Khaki 08 Limited Clone.

Because i dont want the SRT look.

I just bit the bullet and bought a used one painted silver for $130 shipped, its from an 08 Overland. It will take a few days to ship so i will have my jeep back from the shop before i get it then i will drop it at the shop for paint once its here.

Ok, Th Jeep is at the shop and they are trying to repair the front cross member where the tow hook bent it up, if they cant get it first try then they are going to install a new front cross member.

I got my 08 Overland Grille today and dropped it off, Headlights should be in tomorrow and i will drop them off. As soon as my lower air dam shows up that will get dropped off for prep and paint.

On a good note one of the stock headlights is broken so i will get reimbursed by the insurance for that and any other damages that exceeded to original estimate.

The Jeep is done, Though i am dropping off the lower air dam tomorrow for paint. It only showed up yesterday. I will get pics once this crappy rain stops.

I am so happy with how it turned out and i saved a ton of money buying parts myself. its got the chrome overland grille so now all it needs is the chrome lower air dam trim to complete the Overland/Limited Front end. I also need to buy a new OEM front license plate bracket from J4J. I will also buy the lower air dam chrome strip from J4J once i get the money.

Ive also been in great need of new tires and i managed to get a set of FREE good used tires at work yesterday. I got a set of 265/65/17 Peerless Widetrac Baja, nothing amazing Nice looking AT tires but they will last me at least 2 years before i need to dish out big money on new AT Tires.

Pics after that as well.
