I've been away all week on vacation but my Romik's were waiting for me when I came home last night. After installing the brackets, I quickly realized you will need the 2" extenders for them to fit. There is no way the running boards will fit w/o. I have four brackets sticking out from under my ride for at least a week (if I'm lucky).

Wow, that really does suck. They must have made ours at the same time. Did you get the chrome running boards instead of the side bars you ordered? Just asking because that's what I ordered. Hope you get some type of financial recourse here. That's pretty pathetic customer service.

Now you see, if I could find the sidesteps bimmer and merc use, I am sure that would fit the aggressive look. I have yet to see them implemented on a jeep though.

Yeah, they were the chrome running boards. I have sent all three party's an email (distributor, manufacturer, and courier) regarding this matter and all I have gotten so far as a response is "we are working on resolving the issue, please contact the distributor for an update." So two days in and I still do not have any idea when I might be getting them...but oh by the way, "please ship the other ones back by bus."!!!

Re: 2014 Altitude Side Steps

Just an update....

Still waiting on those side steps!

This time they resent them, and after waiting two weeks for transport to the distributor, then another 3 days to me by bus, they showed up and were once again, incorrect! What they sent were black running boards.

So we are now almost 4 months out from my order and I still do not have what was ordered.

Re: 2014 Altitude Side Steps

My dealings with this company wasn't that great either. My first set took a month to arrive only to find out they were damaged. After dealing with the Internet seller and Romik, I finally received the new set on Thursday (2 months after the initial order).

I spent Friday evening installing and I'm pretty happy with the results. One thing though, if you have a '14 GC, you'll need the 2" extenders. Also, make sure to spray down the install hardware with WD40 as they suggest, trust me. Good luck.

Re: 2014 Altitude Side Steps

Running Boards look good!

I finally got my side steps from Romik as well; Ordered in June, arrived in October! Brutal.

Do like them though. Too bad they have such crappy customer service. Their instructions leave a bit to be desired as well; I had to chuckle when I saw 50min to install. I am a fairly handy individual yet it still took me almost 2 hours. Maybe they meant 50minutes with two people or 50minutes a side.

Regarding the extensions, I kept getting told that I had the parts yet there was no extension in the hardware kit with a 3-hole pattern, only 2-hole. Not sure how those are supposed to work and they look nothing like the image of the extensions on Romik's website. PLUS, they were not even SS. However, I did not actually need them to get them to fit so not sure why I didn't need them and some others do.

Anyway, I finally have them on, to go with my Yakima crossbars; now I need to think about swapping the rims.
