Thumbs up 6K HID's Lows/Fogs

So I got everything installed, zip-tied and tidy...now I can enjoy my HID's BABY!!!

Here are some pics of the location I mounted the lows; the Volt slim ballasts (XenonDepot) fit perfectly under the black plastic that is below the headlights on an 08 (could be the same for 05-07 but IDK). I drilled two ground holes, and sanded the paint down a couple times to ensure proper contact

Here is all of the wiring behind the headlights...I did not make this perfect but everything is tidy and easily deciphered. I have determined is a basic and necessary skill for electrical work, especially for a novice such as myself

passenger

driver

Here is where I mounted my fog ballasts...this was the natural location b/c I utilized the same grounds as the lows. 2X tape, mounted underneath the lip on the backside of the frame

passenger fog(left) and low

driver fog(right) and low

I ran the power wires for the passenger side ballasts (low and fog) underneath the backside of the black metal the hood latch is connected to...zip-tied it along the metal following the cable for the hood latch release and dumped it right in front of the air intake (I don't have a pic of this...just a little potential trick or obvious statement haha). Here is a pic of the battery connection; the four relays provided with the kit are connected together via tech-flex, and the fuses/fuse cases connect together in parallel

A little video of the whole thing together! Also a little poke at some of you HAHA 81xx miles baby!!!!

Re: 6K HID's Lows/Fogs

Hey it's better to be neat than to be messy. You did a good job.

EDIT: Nice vid! How are they at night? A nice upgrade HUH?

Re: 6K HID's Lows/Fogs

Thanks Paul!! HID's = Sexy = FTW haha

Thanks Andrew...was checking out your post too! I am very happy with the slim ballasts...they were super easy to work with.

I have a question......I was looking at my pics and i am thinking about moving the lows ballasts from under the plastic piece and 2X taping or zip-tying them to the fors ballast under the bumper and out of sight...this way they are even less exposed to the elements. Will I have problems mounting them to one another? Should i zip-tie them and see how it works? I am just thinking it might be a problem later down the road if they are stuck together very well in a hard to reach area...thoughts?
