Good luck mate. It's straight forward enough, just takes a lot of patience.

Damn Aaron you're turning into quite the arteeeeest! I wish I'd have known you were doing the headliner ahead of time. I would have got you to snap a few pics of the sunroof mechanism.Yours being a 2000 should open fully where the newer ones only open to 3/4. Ive been pondering pulling the headliner to see if they just put stops in there or something more techy.Seems petty I know but it just bugs the sh*t out of me. Anyway your work is 1 step above the rest as usual bro.I'm a little less intimidated by that headliner now.Carry on.

Wow, thanks Dave! I really appreciate that bro.

I did start out with the intention of taking a ton of pics and doing a full write up, but, as usual, time wasn't on my side and I had to crack on.

I think you should be ok though. I didn't remove the actual sunroof itself (I had no idea how to, plus its a straight forward piece to cut). I pulled the headliner down gradually, as I'd noticed that some wiring was held in place with epoxy. If you do that, you should be able to see if there is a mechanism or otherwise without doing any harm.

Wow! This is looking good! Just to be sure, I read you left the factory fabric in place? That didn't make it too thick to fit into place when reassembled? Or did I mistake what I read?

I wish I could have been there to help. I know the one in my CVPI was a B-E-Y-O-T-C-H! to get off!

I REALLY want to be there when you tackle the sculpt! The way the US is going, I just might re-think migration! lol

Seriously... my country is about to default on it's loans and now they're arguing about light bulbs!

Thanks for the shout-out by the way.

Cheers Ron

Yeah I didn't remove the old fabric and it went back in no probs.

No worries man, I would never have attempted it without your advice

Lol yeah I hear ya. My work is the same. Sales are down and they have removed half of the lightbulbs (seriously) in the shop!
