Question Re: Alright, Opinions on these USW 22" Wheels on my jeep

What I look at when you have a wheel like that. Is their a left and a right. You need to look to see if the spokes face the same direction on both sides or it looks way off.

BTW- IMO HRE's are crap. I remember when HRE's were breaking at the track. IMO CCW's are the shit and HRE's are poo. Maybe you'll haven't been around whip that long. I went with Volk gramlights on my lexus instead of HRE's for that reason.

Re: Alright, Opinions on these USW 22" Wheels on my jeep

LOTs of comments and opinions--thanks guys!

Yeah, the more I look at them I like it and then I don't like it.

I love my black chrome and was considering doing these black chrome and possibly leaving the red; wasn't too sure. But I didn't want to dump a lot of money in them. Also, I thought it'd be silly to have 2 sets of Black Chrome.

The reason I even considered them is because I miss my HRE's, which were a one-off, triple tear lip, on my mustang.

After thinking about it, I think i'll hold off and wait until the 22" replicas, do those in black chrome, sell mine and buy a set of black track wheels.

Re: Alright, Opinions on these USW 22" Wheels on my jeep

Imma gonna go against the tide here. IMO, these are freakin ballin on your rig, at least in the photochop. Way more appealing than the seller's black ride.

You have one of the most unique vehicles out there, and it's a testament to the aftermarket. Most of us go with the standard colors, and either monochrome or contrast wheels. like many here, i also prefer the traditional 5 spokes, but again these are intended to be different.

if you can pick them up at lowball price, say half of retail or more, that's a heck of a deal for a bleeding edge look, pun intended. if you don't care for the tone of red, you can paint 'em up to your liking, or say an ano red accent. if you don't care for them after mounting 'em up, sell them for what you got in 'em.

Tough call though, as you can get virtually any great wheelset for that kinda coin, especially gently used.

Re: Alright, Opinions on these USW 22" Wheels on my jeep

Cant go wrong with the USW's but I agree the red/black may be a tad much.

Loved mine on the Charger I had.
