Need these blended. Doing a hood prototype for a manufacturer and trying to get an idea of how I wanna do this.

These are test fit #1. Not sure if I like it this way or if I wanna move the cowl forward a bit to completely cover the center dip in the hood....

Of course, the scoop is plastic, so once its painted and taped down, they'll be able to make a fiberglass mould without the big seams.

EDIT: The design has the big cowl in the center and a pair of louvers on the sides like the 5.9 LTD (except further back). If anybody has any input, shoot, and I'll see what kinds of changes I can make.

Those projector headlights are messing up the flow of your jeep. You should pass them down to me... LOL But Downstate or FatherPaul should be able to hook you up.

I didn't see any bigger ones. This is the biggest plastic one I could find. Fiberglass is wider, but anything thats wider is also like 2 feet longer, which won't fit our hoods.

I really wanted to find aluminum so I could weld it on, but not a single manufacturer makes an aluminum cowl scoop. Steel is available, but I'm not willing to use an aftermarket steel hood to be able to use one. Aftermarket body parts rarely fit perfectly, so I'd rather not have a mould made off one.

How about that? Its just a quick 2 minute job of what was already posted because I am waiting for a CD to download...

I like it.... Also, I am not knocking your idea of your small hood scoop one. I think its awesome people are finding a niche for the jeeps to do this to them, but I wouldnt buy it because of the smallness, And i have been asking for a 3-4inch cowl forever...

No way to put two of these together. Theres a ridge in the center that would look retarded offset to the side.
I can get steel in any size I want, but theres still the issue of welding/brazing steel to aluminum.

I realize that stuff will be coming out for the WK. The reason I'm doing this with Sarona though is because their hoods sell for a little over half what all these others do. Alot of guys don't have or want to spend a grand or more on a hood. $700-$800 is a bit more realistic.
