Baby SRT

so i have/had a 14 altitude (stormtrooper) for the wife,
but then things changed got married and my work was getting rid of a 11 larado x with hemi so i talked her into it with mild reluctance (she was losing heated steering wheel and power life gate- such first world problems) so after a little detailing she took a liking to it.
i picked up some limited 20s i thought everything was fine.

but then she complained it was to quiet it didnt sound like a "hemi" so we did a cold air intake.

then i opened my big mouth mentioned something about the srt brembos being a direct swap. so one thing lead to another i got a killer deal on the brakes and wheels and i was swapping parts again.

well then she was like well what does it take to make it look like the a her altitude. so doing a little research theres no sheetmetal change 11 to current so i knew i could swap 14+ front end , well keeping a eye out i found most/all the parts to srt out the body for relatively cheap.
but then with the srt body kit i need either the exhaust tips or the whole exhaust so i found a srt exhaust, (fyi not direct bolt on without modification) so thats where im at now, the body pieces should be getting painted within the week and i should begin on this transformation i also have srt manifolds going on when exhauist going on (i also plan on 6.4 cam and intake for next round of mods)

Re: Baby SRT

Looks like it's gonna be awesome. Don't forget to get the 14 plus bumper retainers or the new bumper won't snap in. You would think they would be the same, at least I did.

Super excited to get this going, ordering my lowering springs tomorrow, hoping to have it lowered this weekend, keeping my eye out for the interior. I'm lucky to have such a awesome husband who supports my love for my wk2!

Re: Baby SRT

You'll need the complete belly pan and brake duct...which I just so happen to have from my 2014. I'm doing the 2017 front bumper and took these off. 0 damage and I'm the only owner of the vehicle. PM me if interested. Believe me...you don't wanna pay new prices...

Re: Baby SRT

so this past weekend received parts back from paint turned out pretty good. so heres some pics of updates.

before going under

a little during

had to grind down the bumper brackets a little to get bumper to sit flush

had to modify the headlight and fog lamp connectors (had to purchase new headlight one the orange connector, but was able to use the h11 that was there for the fogs)

lowering springs going in

front spring differences

rear spring differences

might as well do bilstiens while here

test fitting

differences in rocker vs flares
frt

rear

and finally all done .... atleast for now
