Have you thought about or seen Plastic Dip ? I haven't used it myself but I just might when I get my JGC next month.

www.dipyourcar.com

They have some good videos on Youtube doing whole cars.

I have gold logos an stuff but have been looking into blacking everything. Antenna and all. Amazon is what I've been looking at for all the emblems. So I can add to the cart an make sure I don't order the same one twice an i don't forget one.

If you're doing everything, you could get a quote from a local bodyshop to see what it would cost.

Re: best way to switch all chrome on grand cherokee 2015 to all black?

I just plasti dipped my wheels and grille on my new 2012 WK2. This time instead of leaving the matte finish I used plasti dip glossifier and added a coat of gloss which I really like. The wheels were easy as always but on the WK2 in order to remove the grille you must first remove the entire front bumper then the grille from the bumper. Quite a process compared to the WK, but after doing it once or twice it's fairly easy! Going to dip the chrome piece on my lift gate tomorrow!
When I got her last week

Re: best way to switch all chrome on grand cherokee 2015 to all black?

I, like my username states, ride a 2014 Summit, and man...too much cheap chrome. I've owned it 2 weeks and I've already replaced the Rear Jeep logo, step pad and tail light surrounds with genuine mopar parts. They are expensive, but man they look great, and I still have the chrome ones in case I were to ever decide to switch back. Or I suppose I can sell them to someone looking for them in chrome.

I'm considering wrapping the side, front and back chrome trim, but I havent decided yet. I really like the look of the Altitude, maybe i should consider just having everything painted body color professionally.

I did my as you can see. I took it to a shop who tinted my taillights and wrapped every piece of chrome in gloss black vinyl to match. Bought the emblems to replace myself of the Internet. Also put 22" spider monkey rims on. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1433025291.046476.jpg

Mind telling us what the wrapping cost you?

Also, could you post some close-ups of how it turned out?

Wow...that sounds like you got a great deal. In Ontario I think it would probably be double that.
