Question Black chrome

I was thinking of doing my wheels in a black chrome with that shadow kit from duplicolor. Anybody tried it before? I was curious about durability

Re: Black chrome

i wouldn't trust it as far as durability because it's a rattlecan kit... might look cool for a couple months though lol...

Re: Black chrome

I would let a body shop paint and clear them or powdercoat them. Check out boychics black chrome powdercoat. It is sick

Re: Black chrome

First off, Scott, I would kill you for your ride haha jk. But anyhow i got som of it to try out on stuff other than my wheels and while i still like the black chrome look. I wouldnt trust myself to do it on large areas, to hard to keep even (not to mention the durability). Anyhow i tried it out on my Jeep emblem and the grille. Grille didnt turn out to hot so i did something else with it. Black Grille with bloody accents I liked how the emblem turned out but now it doesnt match what i did to the grille. I used the black chrome on the chrome license plate trim and it would match nicely with the letters if i put them on the back. But in the sake of matching the entire car, its pretty silly. I think im gonna go for painting all the plastic on my car gloss black with some clear coat, maybe the door handles to match paint. Any suggestions?
