No, mine were done by Scott...I didn't even bother screwing with VHT.
The only concern I had was that on a sunny day, the shiny paint would reflect sunlight and blur any red that was trying to come through. I was probably worrying too much...but wanted to ensure that if a cop was behind me they could CLEARLY see my brake lights and turnsignals working. And extra few bucks in bulbs was worth it to me to maybe deter a bored cop. Lots of bored cops in my neighborhood.
