Re: Carbon Fiber Vinyl entire jeep...

Yeah that matte black looks sick..maybe overdoing the carbon fiber should be something i'm careful of.

spoke to a friend of mine at a shop who reminded me that my hood is 60 inches across which is going to be way wider than the 48 inches of the dinoc. i'll have to be really careful stretching and heating the material to get that to happen. He said you really don't want to have any pieces overlapping across the hood and it would look pretty crappy.

Anyone have experience wrapping the hood?

Opinions are like . . . well, you know the rest. However, my opinion is that it would be a little dorky. The whole idea behind using real CF in an automotive application is weight savings. It works on a Ferrari. It works on a Lotus. It even works on a Subie that's pumping out 400+ hp. But, it doesn't work on a 2.5 ton SUV.

Matte black, yes. CF, no.

Re: Carbon Fiber Vinyl entire jeep...

All valid points..i tried doing the pillars this weekend in 25 degree weather, didn't have much luck. Wasn't sticking well, even with the heat gun, probably have to wait a few more months...oh well
