Clean up

Hello all,

About a month ago I got my 06 WK overland 5.7 L, and I love it. Unfortunately I did not notice at the time that the previous owner had painted the front grill as well as rims. The rims he used just a latex paint but is a pain to take off, and the grill just a matte black spray paint. Any one have any ideas on a easy method to remove this? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Clean up

Soak the grille in paint thinner for a bit it won’t hurt clear coat, but if it’s limited your grill is probably chrome underneath the paint so it’s even better, should come of easer .Yea paint thinner first ,stay away from lacquer thinner and acetone, lime will work fine to for finishes .
Good luck

Re: Clean up

Post pics of what you're dealing with. Could be plasti-dip.

yup, if it's plasti-dip then you should be able to clean that off in a matter of minutes
