Re: Door Lock pin removal?

do ya want to emphasize on what you call a lock pin?

your not referring to the interior door locking caps that screw on to the door pins are you?

Re: Door Lock pin removal?

I just screwed them in with my hands clockwise until they were flush when locked.. You can also use a wrench to grip them while twisting, but you might want to put a towel or cloth in between the wrench and pin so you don't scratch it up.

Your left elbow will thank you later. I did this for both front doors and it worked out great. No cutting or removing.

i was refering to these: sorry for not being more clear

hey geevis, i tried that but it didnt work at all. when unscrewing them, you have to go counter-clockwise correct?

Re: Door Lock pin removal?

hmmm. your's look a little different than my 06 lock pins.. Yeah i believe counter clockwise to unscrew, but I could be mistaken.. It's been a couple of years since I did mine.

Re: Door Lock pin removal?

my wk got nothing like that. and like geevis said, ours were easy to unscrew. i couldnt get mine flush by just turning so i unscrewed them and cut a bit off of them. then they went down further.

Re: Door Lock pin removal?

yup am guessing he just used that to let us know what he was talking about, not the specific issue.
