So after months of driving around with my 08 front end half done i finally got my lower valance painted and installed. It took so long because i gave it to a friend to remove the texture on the top surfaces and he finally finished it 2 weeks ago. I just picked it up from the body shop yesterday and installed it. Its not perfect because the part itself was not perfect but the defects in the air dam will never be seen unless you are crawling on the ground looking at it. I also added an Overland Chrome trim to go with my Overland Grille. Next step is to sand and paint my mirrors and CAI. So far i am in love with the fact that my 05 looks like a nice sexy new 08+ WK.
Future mods if i ever get a good paying job include the following, PJT painted mirrors, painted wiper cowl and painted Mopar side skirtsI want to do some under hood accents in Plum Crazy Purple. Then 18" S Limited wheels. Finally Overland Chrome roof rails and rear hatch handle and possibly Overland interior stuff if i find any. Maybe one day i will have enough money to get some real power out of the little 4.7 too!
Sorry for the cell pics, i will get better pics once i get my computer setup. I did just wash it but it has not had a paint correction yet, it has not even had a wax since last year. Whoops, guess i better get one that, up close the whole wk needs a real good paint corrections, its got alot of scratches.
Nice looking my Dark Khaki brother. I went the srt look and you the 08 look,Keeping DK looking good. If the SRT look was never was around. The 08 bumper conversion would have been my mod.
Thanks everyone. I love the color and i think it looks great on the 08 style front end. I really hate that they discontinued the color because i see alot of Dark Khaki WKs and XKs around my area.
Did you reused your front bumper bracket support. The part that supports the fog lights and the front bumper cover. Shapes almost like the bumper itself?

I dont know. I had a shop do all the work after my accident. I think its the same but i cant be sure. Your best bet is call a dealership and ask for part numbers for each bummper support.
I dropped my jeep off at the body shop and all i supplied was headlights and grille. They did the rest of the work.
I did go to the dealer yesterday...match the 2007 and 2008 brackets and verified that the bumper brackets are not the same. I bought the 2008-2010 bracket. I just want this thing done and did not care of paying $98.00 for it.
Whatever part they used, it looks really nice. I can't wait for mines. My Jeep is black, so could probably drive with the parts unpainted. But I will paint soon after the conversion.
