I was thinking of going to my eye doctor and asking for him to write me a permission to get front window tint. I guess my only reason would be because I have extremely poor eyesight and have to wear contacts which are more sensitive to light. I was also going to say that wearing sunglasses give me headaches and cant wear them because of this. What do you guys think? Im not sure how much tint you can get under medical reasons.
You have to be careful with this... I did like you suggested, and went to my eye doctor and got a prescription for some bs light sensitivity thingy.
In Michigan you have to fill out a application for tinted front windows and also send in the prescription. They review it and if accepted send a letter back and you take that to the SOS and they put that endorsement on your DL.
This is the part that is tricky. The tinted endorsement is just like a corrective lens endorsement. If you get pulled over in a vehicle that does not have tint you could get a ticket, just as if someone was cought driving without glasses.
I myself have tinted windows on all my vehicles and do not have a endorsement, but I do carry the prescription with me and it did get me out of a ticket once. Being someone that has 9 points on their license beleive me I've been pulled over my fare share!!
