for the rest of you..........
tilla lights are not EURO in the sense they are AFTERMARKET 3 BULB but scotts or REAL ones were OEM on WH export models.
True euro (7443 etc) bulbs are identical in every aspect to a normal 3157 EXCEPT for that they also carry the coveted ECE rating. A 3157 is an idential swap however. The "A" designation at the end of the part number obviously means amber.

I guess I may have mispoken in that I meant that a 3157 will fit and work just fine. However, I should have considered that some people want them to be perfect in that they have the exact correct number bulb.

If you replace with LED's, they will be 3157 bulbs since all LED bulbs with the T25 base are the same.

My bad.

Re: Fully functional Euro taillights installed with video

its not about perfect bro.............the AMBER is a single filament bulb on a WH.

I guess you can puut a dual filament in there if you like........

but it calls for a SINGLE filament AMBER BULB. that is NOT A 3157.

and tilla bro. I meant that set you have with the black trim......not the real set from EU. sorry about that bro.

i ALSO bought a brand new set that is ojn scotts jeep and I can tell you the middle bulb is NOT 3157 or duakl filament. and that how they come.

Re: Fully functional Euro taillights installed with video

well i guessed that much^^ there was no way anyone could tell me mine are not real- lol but seriously though, yeah the tails came with bulbs already in them. i swapped them out for 3157 chrome bulbs immediately and have not had a problem.

i still have the stock bulbs though, ill look them over another day. honestly it doesnt matter cause im doing LED in there.

cheers rob

Re: Fully functional Euro taillights installed with video

theyll still work^^^ you just wont hear that click in or feel it stop but it goes in if you give it a push..and dont worry it isnt going to come out on its own either....i thought that 3157 bulb wouldnt work until i pushed it in and not a problem since.

cheers-

if I do a straight plug and play with the 3157 LED replacement bulb, do I need a resistor? I am so confused aobut that. The sites say plug and play, yet on this forum, many threads mention the use of a resistor.
