Re: Good ridance ugly ass woodgrain trim pieces!

Thanks for the kudos!

I purchased the vinyl from Metro Restyling - http://www.metrorestyling.com/

They have pretty good pricing on a couple types of vinyl. The felt on the one end of the squeegee is so that you don't scratch/rrip the vinyl if you need to push hard to release a bubble or something. As far as tips? Just be sure to give yourself a lot of time so you won't have to rush. Be sure the trim pieces are clean and dry. What I found works best for the openings in the trim pieces is to stick the vinyl to the flat sections first, hit the vinyl covering the open area of the piece with a heat gun, push the vinyl slightly into the open, then cut out a hole leaving enough to wrap the vinyl around the edge and on to the back side.

All in all it probably took me 3hrs or so with a lot of that time spent removing the trim pieces, removing the controls from the trim pieces and cleaning them up. The actual application of the vinyl goes rather quickly.

The shifter knob is a skull that can be purchased at just about any autozone, pep boys or advanced auto. It comes with a bunch of plastic spacers and one fits perfectly on the WK.

Re: Good ridance ugly ass woodgrain trim pieces!

how much vinyl did you need to do all of those pieces? did you do the back seat window switch covers as well? I am thinking about doing the white DI-NOC on the inside of mine. Just curious on how much I would need?

Re: Good ridance ugly ass woodgrain trim pieces!

Love it! Ive had the silver and dark carbon Neffy wrap sitting in m garage opened for like 6 MONTHS! LMAO, I know exactly what to do and Ive had time but for some reason every time I go to start Mr. Neffy, I get side tracked. Mod stuff just keeps stacking up, its ridiculous, good problem to have I guess
