Re: Got any lower? Quadralift ove ride

Hi Simmo32, Excellent work with the heights you are testing. I like the idea of the 2 levels below sport and I think OR2 as the 3rd setting would be fantastic as full lift would be great to have for offroad.
Look foward to hearing the latest progress.

I agree, especially if you can fix the butt-high attitude. Or perhaps the 3 settings could be OR2 on top, Aero (but NOT butt-high) for the middle, and around a 1/2" lower on the bottom.

hmm, for me ideal would be, aero .5" lower all around then aero is mow*, OR1 same as OR2 and OR2 .75-1" higher then it is now... in my dreams i guess lol

Re: Got any lower? Quadralift ove ride

OR1 at 1" higher would be like riding on the bumpstop

OR1 at 1" higher would put it a little lower then OR2 is stock?? or did I miss something

1" higher then the normal OR1 puts it at 2.3" +NRH, OR2 stock is 2.6" +NRH so its still not as harsh as OR2, and the ride could be made better with the introduction of a larger QL shock... which is bascially what I would love, is a shock that keeps stock ride heights, and go lower then the current Aero by another .5" and in OR2 gives us another 1" or so....

Im stretching a bit but ya, I know I wouldn't be the only one who bought that upgrade lol

Re: Got any lower? Quadralift ove ride

1 inch higher than OR1 would be even better than full time OR2 in my opinion!!

Better ride quality ( I actually love how it's firmer in turns than stock height)

I didn't even think about that when I was requesting full time OR2 but your suggestion sounds better!

I noticed my alignment gets a little funky in OR2 and I probably wouldn't want to drive like that too much for tire wear or try getting it aligned at that ride height either

And..
When is this coming out!!!!??? Wasn't it supposed to be ready like a week ago ?

This mod has already been out in Australia for at least more than a year!
But the Aussie couldn't source the connectors to make it a plug n play kit.. He could only install it locally

It's all good, lol but like I said, if they offered us a bigger shock, you could re-gain some of the ride quality at full suspension heights

Re: Got any lower? Quadralift ove ride

Wouldn't that be costly because aren't the fronts a dual shock/airbag assembly..
Well, unless the shock is made to fit in the bag nicely so you don't have to purchase the whole shock/bag assembly

But,, even with capable shocks I would still worry about the bags tearing due to overextension at 1" above OR2,
Just pointing this out because I changed the tires myself and forgot to lock the air suspension beforehand and when I jacked front corner up, jeep compensated by over inflating the rear bags and one of them got a tear..

Replacement wasn't covered under warranty either

OUCH, so If I go to get my tires swapped and the tire shop doesn't do this and it screws up my Jeep your telling me they won't warranty it? sounds like there should still be a fail safe in place, otherwise its like "wana see how to break a jeep? just take the wheel off!"

** also obviously I would want a complete system that gave you the "OPTION" for those heights...

Re: Got any lower? Quadralift ove ride

Yea that's why I take my jeep to shops that jack the whole car off the ground to for tire balancing etc..

When all four are off the ground it automatically turns off? Or puts the air suspension in a mode as to not mess up anything..

I still tell them to lock the air suspension and give them directions even if they put the car on a full lift

But this measure would be REQUIRED if they were to jack each corner individually.. Just sayin from personal experience lol
