Re: got carbon fibre?

It's not a total PITA to install this stuff, but it is a bit tricky.. and takes time or in my case several different times re-applying.. have to redo my center bezel :-P

Also, the cheaper carbon fiber I got, has really crappy adhesive!

Re: got carbon fibre?

hey, put some painters tape around edges

get a fine eacto knife and trim along the inner border of the stuff you are masking with the carbon fiber

you should be able to cut it neatly and tuck it into the grooves if ya know what i mean...

Re: got carbon fibre?

Did you clean the surface you were applying it to? I wiped everything down really well with rubbing alcohol. It's probably got dressings or armor-all residue on it. Nothing sticks to that. Mine stuck right away, and all I did was tuck the excess behind the trim with a plastic putty knife. Heat it up, tuck it in....

Re: got carbon fibre?

I did clean everything before I put anything on, what I meant by it doesn't stick, is when for example I'm wrapping around media center bezel it doesn't stick to the inside very well which makes it a bit difficult to apply. I just have to redo it, and make sure I'm cutting straight with my exacto knife
