With an HID kit, yes. With the LED kit, No.

So I have halogen lights right now...regardless of that and if I have DRLs, if I get the HID kit, I need the CANbus relay? Sorry just trying to understand what I have currently and what I need.

Re: H8/H11/H16 Philips X-treme Ultinon LED Bulbs Vs Halogen Fog Light Bulbs

Here is a picture of my headlight. From what I can tell, there's the high/low beam and the turn signal. I looked up My year and only Limited and up models have them. let me know is there's anything I can look in to to determine if I have CANbus. Thanks!

@ToneBone - Are you looking to get an HID kit, or an LED kit?

I am looking to get the HID kit. From everything you have said the LEDs won't be as good. All I'm trying to figure out is what option to choose for CANbus - with or without. I looked at my headlights last night and the only bulbs I have is the turn signal light, 9005, and H11. I didn't see the DRL bulb mentioned elsewhere. I also looked up the models and it appears that DRLs were only offered on Limited and up. But back to CANbus, I don't know if my Jeep - '12 Laredo X - has this function. I can't remember if something popped up on my dash the last time I had a burnt out bulb but I can say that when my turn signal needed replaced, it flickered faster than normal. I looked through my vehicle manual and didn't see anything related to CANbus but that's not saying much lol.

@ToneBone:

I would go with our 2012 Grand Cherokee specific HID Kit kit to ensure you get the components you need for your vehicle:

XenonDepot | 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X HID Kit | Xtreme H11 HID will come with everything you need to upgrade the lights -- you don't need to purchase anything else in addition to the kit.

I also came across the 9005 setup for the high beams? Would HID also be my best choice? I messaged the site and someone told me LED is better for the high beams bc there is no delay unlike HIDs (10-20 seconds). Only issue I have is the 9005 LEDs are only 4000k and my H11s and fogs will be closer to 6000k.

Hi Steve,

Those look cool. So for high beams are LEDs the better way to go?

Absolutely - due to the instant on/off functionality.
