Re: Here is a little engine/front grill lighting mod I did

I worked really hard to mount them in such a way that you just see more of a glow than any direct lighting

I have it in five different places
On the lower back side of the strut bar
Inside the fan shroud
Inside on the top of the front upper grill facing down
On the top of the actual metal bumper facing up as far forward as possible so you cannot see it looking down into the grill
And last I was going to put it on the lower side of the metal bumper but it was reflecting bad in the paint of the lower grill area so I placed it at the very bottom of the lower grill right up against it facing up, There is enough space there to hide it without it showing

I also worked hard to hide and blend the wiring in so its hard to spot. I would bet that even a jeep guy that didn't know I had them would not notice anything unusual if they where turned off.

Got the leds on ebay you can search:
5M Waterproof 5050 SMD RGB 300 LED Strip + Controller

You can cut and solder it about every two inches, not easy if you dont do it often. Four wires in a space less than 1/2". Definatly wanted to throw something a few times.

Red looks awesome!!

I like how you said you worked hard to hide the lights and wiring, that makes it sooo much better. Cool lights with wires everywhere is no competition for cool hidden lights with hidden wires. Sick.
