Re: HID for MOST bright??

I have had an 04 X5, 08 IS250 with OEM projectors, and 03 Maxima, and 06 altima with OEM HID reflectors. All were great on the road. The aftermarket HID's for my jeep IMO are brighter than the IS, Maxima, and Altima. Irf and I have been in a parking lot with a jeep with projector HID's, aftermarket HID's, and my GF IS with oem HID. Like everyone said the light is controled better and projects further. But the jeeps with the aftermarket hid's lit up the lot ground. My X5 had hid lighs that was the same bulb as the lows. I believe there was a mechanist that opened for the light to project up. IMO the X5 was the best.

Re: HID for MOST bright??

I have stock lights now, waiting on my 5k lows and 3k fogs.
I have 6k's on both my lows and fogs on my passat, looks great, great output.
Had 8k's w/ 3k fogs on my WRX and the 8k's were blue/borderline purple.

stick with the 5k/3k setup

Re: HID for MOST bright??

perfectly understood what u are trying to say Paul, thats why projectors are better than stock because they put the light were its supposed to be... the cut off tells you were your light ends so u can aim it accordingly. Unike the stock ones wherein you try to look for the hot spot to aim it correctly and hope that you adjusted it properly so as to not get flashed.
