Hid installation

I called a shop in Staten Island, NY and asked how much it would cost me to get HIDs on my WK.
The guy asked me if I needed a relay kit and everything and I said yes.
The guy said, $300 for everything and it will work properly. Since I don't know how to install them, should I go for it?

Re: Hid installation

Hell no!!!

you can do them yourself real easy, it took me less than 20 minutes to do. It's very very simple, I bought my kit for $80 with the relay and harness and all the good junk. That would be a waste of $$$

there are some very good DIY threads on here that will help you in the process

Re: Hid installation

dont pay $300 for JUNK HID's and install. Get a set of 9006 Xenondepot Xtremes from one of our vendors here(xenondepot) and we will walk you through it.

Re: Hid installation

If I want a pure white HID kit like Acura's or Cadillac's, which ones better? 6000k or 8000k?
and do these kits come with everything I need? such as relay kit and everything?
If so, what do I need to get from that page?

6000K: http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Volt_HID_6...m?1=1&CartID=0
OR*
http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Xtreme_Dig...m?1=1&CartID=0

8000K: http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Xtreme_Dig...m?1=1&CartID=0
OR*
http://www.kbcarstuff.com/Volt_HID_8...m?1=1&CartID=0

I'm really sorry guys, I'm a noob.....

Re: Hid installation

4300K is factory but has a little yellow tint. 5000k will be perfect for you. 8000k would looks dumb IMO. i have 6000k and i love them but they have a slight blue tint, 5000k is pure white.

Re: Hid installation

5K is straight white. I have 6K in mine and love it. It really looks good when you had in my factory fog lights.

Re: Hid installation

Will I be able to get one of those 5000K kits and get Angel Eyes for fog lights?
I am kinda worried the power consumption for having angel eyes for fog lights.
I don't have a sound system so would it work it out? 5000K HID's and Angel eyes for fog lights?
