Re: HID sometimes shuts off

I've had this issue, and eventually found it was a faulty fuse holder. Funnily enough, when the issue first began, only my driver's headlight would fail, as it got worse both failed. I put it down to a current drop across the fuse holder, then an eventual total failure.

Re: HID sometimes shuts off

Think it would be any better if I put the grounds between the washer and the bolt at least that way its touching bare metal

Re: HID sometimes shuts off

I would put them on the battery terminal but the post size on the ground terminal is too small. They may even be to small for the fender bolt too

Re: HID sometimes shuts off

I would drill one hole in the headlamp support frame, clean off the paint and place them there...outta sight of course....unless you have more wire than it looks to place them somewhere else.

edit-sorry Jeremy...but the painted radiator support you have them on right now is not even part of the frame. its the radiator support bolted to the headlight support frame. I believe this is why you are having problems. I hope it is a simple fix for ya!

also I just typed this out on your post...idiot me...I didnt edit any of your post. I'm a moderator newb...LOL

Re: HID sometimes shuts off

Thanks for all your help Scott. I'll look tomorrow morning and see if I can find a nice spot to drill a hole. If I can, I'll pick up a drill bit and see what I can do.
