Have you looked at the Hella off-road bulbs for your highs? I used them in my old h2 and they were very bright. You can get them cheap at summit, just make sure they're the off-road bulbs. Not HID looking but nice and bright.

Re: High 9005 replacement bulb - 6k?

^^ Looked into those, and they got great reviews

And I know I know (Kyle, Irf, Nate and the others)....well I did a lot of research and decided to ask for the Phillips X-Treme Power bulbs....BUT my mom got me the 9007's haha and not the 9005's

Once I get them returned I will post pics up asap...I found that if you get the 6k-look bulbs, light output is diminished and they won't match my HID's anyways...so from what I gathered these X-Treme powers should be nice. I apologize for the delay gents

Re: High 9005 replacement bulb - 6k?

After a long wait here are my crystal vision series Phillips bulbs in my highs!!! First reaction - very nice, better light output at night and a lot less yellow, but still a little contrast which I like.

Before

Drivers side new / passenger old

Old

New

Both new

I will take some night time pics later. IMO great upgrade over stock!!!!

they are not blue blue...haha but I am very happy. the light output is very nice, and it got rid of 90% of the yellow, which was my main goal!

WC I will try...but it may be a couple weeks...and why Freeway? Will a back-road work? IDK about Canada, but it will be very hard for me to drive on the 101 with my highs...always cars!

Back roads work yes, anywhere where its dark and a long stretch of road.
