Hmmmm.... silver or hemi orange?

After painting my intake silver to match and already having the fuse covers done, I'm debating, leave the engine cover hemi orange or paint it silver as well to match, what does everyone think????

Re: Hmmmm.... silver or hemi orange?

When your actually by the car its a very diff color then the calipers, the calipers are Brembo red whereas the engine is mopar hemi orange. The only reason i painted it orange was because i liked the old mopar muscle look. Everything else def. isnt getting painted orange haha, but I kind of like having the engine set off from the rest of the car, as you can tell i'm still debating ha

Re: Hmmmm.... silver or hemi orange?

What does it look like underneath the cover? Any thought of removing it and painting the intake or adding coil covers?

Like this?

This guy PropDr did that to his hemi.. there was custom work involved but I'm not sure exactly what he did.

Re: Hmmmm.... silver or hemi orange?

The 5.7L looks abslutely horrible under the cover, spark wires and cheap plastic everywhere

Re: Hmmmm.... silver or hemi orange?

I would paint the cover silver and maybe paint the part that says HEMI in orange.

Re: Hmmmm.... silver or hemi orange?

If you go with the orange, maybe consider having it done professionaly. I've seen too many spray bombed underhood parts that look like they were done by a 12 year old. Really looks shitty in my opinion.

Re: Hmmmm.... silver or hemi orange?

I'll consider it, but its not going to happen haha, I have everything a paint shop does, including my own money still in my pocket I'd have to pay them, if you have all the stuff you can do a pro job easily enough on such small pieces yourself if you know what your doing and take an appropriate amount of time.
