I just got back from picking up Stillen headlight covers I got from Kyle, well actually his dad gave em to me who by the way is a very nice guy.:)

To me they seem like they are made out of rubber they bend so easy. So I have some painting questions and also mounting questions.

They are Khaki right now, so I have to sand and paint them black to my paint code which I already have the paint. I noticed these dont appear to be clear coated, im thinking they should be after I paint them, to match the cars shine and to hold up to being mounted on the front from being damaged from road debris. Correct?

And how do I install these, just take the grill off or do the headlights need to be removed to properly seat them? And any "tips" on painting them, would be appreciated. thanks.

And here's a pic, just cuz I know everyone likes pix on here.

timmy, do a bit of research on painting 'Urethane'. Thats what they made out of. And the primer you use is a bit tricky. but if they primed already, and dont have any fisheyes or small bubbles, go forth.

however, if they already painted from kyle, then i would just sand them down some and get some color and clear and have a party.

I use automotivetouchup.com for color and clear but since you have black, may not be too critical.
