So far I've got the rear end of the Superlift in, RED interior LEDs, and 10k HID headlights. Might be more to come in the next few weeks.

Ya, I was gonna start looking for how to angle the headlights down. Is it possible with ours?

#5 ·
I'll look around for it when I get back home (hopefully Friday).

Oh no, I just don't wanna blind people either haha.

Thank you. I guess ill sit in my dads car in front of it at a few angles to see if it needs adjusting once the front end is done. For now its like you're staring at the ground in front of you with a 3" difference between front and rear height haha.

Those wheels and tires look awesome. How's the acceleration?

#11 ·
Thank you :D
I only drove it like a quarter of a mile from my house to my dads house in the middle of the night rushing to get the front forks off for this kid (they didn't come off, frozen like no other) so I didn't really get to test the accel yet. Hopefully it won't be too big of a loss. Def dreaming about dropping in a much bigger engine somewhere down the road but I obviously don't have the funds now that I'm an unemployed college student haha

that rear end is awesomely high. Also to all those HID temp comments, 10k is not brighter than 4300k, it is merely more blue (and actually quite less bright). The temperatures are JUST different colors, not increased light input. 4300 is brightest and whitest, anything higher is bluer/purpler. 3000k is actually the brightest since its yellow.

Looks good!

How much is the measurement from center hub to fender with the 4" lift?

I've heard that you have to extend the tie rod from a JBA representative.

#15 · (Edited)
I'm at school a couple hours from home else I'd measure that for you.

In the rear you add brackets to raise the upper arm links, drop the lower arm links, swap out stabilizer bar links, add bump stop extensions, swap out coil springs, add a bracket to lift the tracking bar on the passenger side, and put in brake line extension brackets. I haven't looked into the front install much yet. Decided to do the back first since I'm more comfortable with the parts back there than all the crap up on the front. Might be a tie rod extension in there.

This all took me about 20 hours over 4 days (including all the trips to get tools and such) with a friend of mine helping 3 hours a day when he got off work.

EDIT^ Keep in mind, I'm no professional. Never taken any mechanics classes. Just done my lift, leveled an f150, and now done half my superlift.

Those headlights are staring at the ground. Lol.

Keep in mind that the 4.7 and 5.7 have a different transmission from the 3.7 and the 6.1.

I'd do the 6.1.

As for gains with the headers. Not sure. All I can think of is better low end and throttle response.

05WK said that the SCT with a higher octane tune has made a work of a difference.

Ya, I was thinking that I'd like to get a manual tranny anyways so that would be fine.

Is the 6.1 a bad idea for offroad use? I don't know much about it besides the fact that it's powerful as hell but I assumed there might be a reason to go for the 5.7 instead of the street engine.

Gonna look up that SCT stuff soon as I get back from lunch and lifting. Thanks!

Not sure if the 6.1 is bad or not.

Pretty sure I'm gonna go ahead and get that tuner once a couple checks get into my account 2for3, thank you

Thanks Scott. I'm liking that they're straight black as opposed to the chrome on my goliaths.

Go ahead and get the part number off of your PCM and have it ready for him.

Haha I drove like a quarter mile from the house I was renting to my dads house to drop off the Jeep there before runnin off to college so that was the only time I've had to recently but I'm gonna have to throw two of them on again to get it to a shop when I can get everything lined up.
